The national postal operator in Kazakhstan is called PLC Kazpost. It is a national Company that provides services to citizens and organizations on delivery of internal and international mail as well as issue and maintenance of plastic debit cards and money transfers. The Republic of Kazakhstan is a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 1992 and subjects to its uniform rules and requirements. In addition, PLC Kazpost is a member of EMS corporation and provides express delivery of inbound EMS-items in the country

Kazpost Size restrictions
Small packages : the minimum ratio of length a width is 90×140 mm, not more than 100 mm in the biggest dimension; the maximum sum of length, height and width must not exceed 900 mm, the largest dimension length must not exceed 600 mm. Rolls: the minimum sum of length and double diameter is 170 mm, maximum rate is 1040 mm (the largest dimension length must not exceed 900 mm). Parcels: minimum – 90×140 mm, maximum – the sum of the length and the largest diameter must not exceed 2000 mm, the length of any measure must not be more than 1050 mm. EMS-items: no more than 1.5 m on the maximum dimension, no more than 3 m in the sum of the longest diameter.
Kazpost Content restrictions
PLC Kazpost does not forward the international mail items containing weapons of all kinds, dangerous and toxic substances, narcotic drugs, currency, bank-bill notes and securities, live animals and biological materials and valuable materials made from animals or plants listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book. Besides, it is forbidden to send a painted and other kind of information which is prohibited for distribution; short-lived food, precious metals, precious stones and jewelry; other items and goods which are prohibited for import to the destination’s country. Kazpost Shipments tracking
To track all registered postal items there is a unique track number in a standard format of the Universal post Union assigned to each postal item. This number has 13 characters which starts from letter R (for small packages), C (for parcels) or E (for EMS-items). The second character is any letter from Latin alphabet to enhance the uniqueness of the number, than goes 9-digit code and finally two-digit sender’s destination country name according to S10 UPU standard. Postal items which are sent from Kazakhstan have a track number ending with KZ letters. The recipient’s country information in the structure of track number is not encrypted. The shipments tracking feature can be found on the official website of the company. To activate it you need to enter all 13 characters of the track number in the appropriate field and then click ‘finish the action’ button. To track incoming shipments before thy come to Kazakhstan’s border, it is better to use the sender’s postal operator’s website.
Kazpost Mailing items search
In case of non-receipt of the postal items in terms of expected duration, written claims are taken within 6 calendar months from the date of receiving the item by the postal operator. By the claim statement, which contains all information about sent item, the identification document, the receipt or a copy of the shipment receipt is attached. The application can be submitted either in person or remotely, by registration on the official PLC Kazpost website.
